Workshop 1: Slip into the role of a pomologist - child-friendly documentation of fruit varieties

Slip into the role of a pomologist and rediscover familiar things! The popular fruit invites us on a journey of discovery. We look at different types of fruit and discover their inner and outer characteristics, which offer us completely new sensory impressions. We also document our findings like an expert! Equipped with a pencil and paper, you'll become real budding pomologists and learn what's important when identifying fruit varieties.

Location: Tietz, 1st floor, museum education department

Time: 2 to 3 pm

Target group: children aged 8 and over, max. number of people 20

Leader: Grit Striese (Saxony regional representative of the Pomologen-Verein e. V., Oberlausitz, Germany)

Workshop 2: Workshop for young people and adults: Creative, fun and appetizing fruit carving from apples

Be amazed at all the creative things you can make from fruit and vegetables. Whether it's a swan from an apple, a blossom or a rose from a carrot, you can even carve a vegetarian penguin. Anyone who would like to see this for themselves is cordially invited. There will also be instructions on how to do it yourself. We look forward to seeing you!
